October – November 2015 Daylight Savings Time Changes

October 3, 2015
For all the FB friends who have been posting Oct. 4’th  Daylight Savings “Spring forward” clock changes **
Daylight savings times do change tomorrow for a few of our mates:

Note that (most of) the USA “Falls back” on:  ~  November 1, 2015.~

Most of Mexico “Falls back” on: ~ October 25’th, 2015 ~

New Zealand “Springs forward”: ~ September 27 ~

**Australia “Springs forward”: ~ October 4 ~

UK ~ like Mexico ~ “Falls back”: ~ October 25 ~

Canada ~ like the USA ~ “Falls back”: ~ November 1 ~

=======================
People flying using CANCUN airport should realize that Q.Roo/Cancun does NOT change times at all during the year.

Cancun will go back to matching US East Coast time on NOVEMBER 1 …
===========================

Also expect confusion among ADO bus schedules and confused ADO employees (like last spring) when the times change for Yucatan – but not for Cancun Q.Roo … on Yucatan-Q.Roo bus routes. … *sigh* …

The Merida-Cancun drive still takes 4 hours – so check the ADO times vs. 4½ hour travel times.

    Then again i believe that q’roo is not changing this year or ever again ?? so the friends in merida need to know so they are not late or early for their flight. half the year we are the same as you and half the year we are 1 hour ahead of you . new york time from oct to april. unless they change that again. ha ha .

  2. Except for Sonora and Arizona. No springing or falling. Blissfully able to leave the clocks alone.

    Hey Steve, Thanks once again for setting the record straight. I also want to thank you for the talk you gave the IWC last Saturday. I was too ill to attend with the big C but it was heartwarming to know you were there speaking up for all of us sufferers and trying to alert people to what they need to do to help themselves.
    As always, keep up the good work and I will keep the faith.

    I am travelling from Merida to Cancun airport on Monday, November 1 so I want to make sure about the time. My flight is scheduled for 14:30 (unless the airline emails me that there is a change due to time change). It looks like I will need to take a bus at 5:30 as the8:30 would put me in too late for an international flight. That is providing Cancun is an hour ahead of Merida and the ADO schedule doesn’t change because it is the Day of the Dead. Can you confirm that for me?
    Thanks.

      Hi Michelle,
      Merida is now one hour behind Cancun – and will still behind Cancun until next March.

      A 14:30 international departure is the same as 13:30 in Merida, needing us to arrive at Cancun airport at least 2 hrs early at 11:30 Merida time. If you take the ADO bus that goes directly to the Cancun airport, it takes 4 hrs + 15 minutes, which should mean you could take the 6:00 Merida time – ADO Fiesta Americana (Alta brisa) to Cancun airport bus – and get there about 3 hrs early … ?

      Have you gone into one of the ADO ticket counters to check their current times/schedules ?
      steve
