Even my Ford dealership in Manzanillo is joining The Great Shutdown. I needed a part replaced a week ago. But the service department informed me nothing could be done about it until January. I may simply enjoy myself at home for the next few weeks. By the way, Merry Christmas. And thank you for your informative posts.

      Merry Christmas!

… and interesting (charming?) that the Ford dealership honors the old tradition of giving their employees lots of time with family during La Navidad.

Except for no vehicle-service/repairs … we really can wait a week (or 2) to buy that new car.

… unless the annual January $$ price increases *bite us*

      *grin*

**Yes, we do tend to look at big purchases needed for the coming year, and then make them in Nov & Dec (earlier than planned), to avoid the almost guaranteed 10% – 20% increases that happen every Jan – Feb in Mexico. … *sigh*

      For newbies to Mexico,
Really: It saved us about $20,000 pesos last year, by buying our solar panel system in Nov 2014, before the wicked 2015 price increases.
