Due to a middle-of-the-madrugada 3:00 AM “fire drill” one recent morning*,  I offer the following Emergency Phone Numbers for people to print before coming to the Yucatan.      Print    and keep in your rental   or enter them into   your cell phone  for/before/while you are here?

Clinica de Merida is on Izaes 2 blocks South of the “Dondé” Glorieta (Miguel Hildalgo Glorieta on Circuito Colonias) – near Centro – they have their own ambulance service – and they offer the quickest transport to an ER for most of Merida (Except NE & E Merida).***

*The good news,  no one was arrested and no one was jailed last night in all of Mérida – not bad for a city of 1 million…  (discovered after calling State & Local Police).
…  and my friend was ok – He just fell asleep in an unusual place,  and did not want to wake his wife by calling to tell her why he  didn’t   come home…   no fun waking up at 3:00 AM to find Hubby   missing and unaccounted-for…
