*The good news, no one was arrested and no one was jailed last night in all of Mérida – not bad for a city of 1 million… (discovered after calling State & Local Police).
… and my friend was ok – He just fell asleep in an unusual place, and did not want to wake his wife by calling to tell her why he didn’t come home… no fun waking up at 3:00 AM to find Hubby missing and unaccounted-for.
***I understand that Clinic de Merida is the only hospital in Yucatan to keep a cardiologist and appropriate lab techs on staff 24/7 for rapid diagnosis and rapid confirmation of heart attacks and stroke – so patients can get the critical care needed within that critical 1’st hour – where lab techs must be present to meet the rapid TAT’s needed for quick diagnosis 24/7

The Yucatan State Police station is on the east side of Reforma (Calle 72 & C39), two blocks south of the 5 points glorieta of C64/C29/C72/Reforma.
Their website ( http://www.ssp.yucatan.gob.mx/ ) has a “Contactamos” button you can push to get a pop-up box that allows you to send them an email.
