Mexican Holidays … Banks … and our In-Home Workers

Feb 4
Public Service Announcement:
To help our readers follow the law … and to be respectful of  ~our~   In*Home workers,   know that Monday Feb 6, is a national holiday … Constitution Day !

Each Employer first decides to ask the worker to work,  or not. …   If Holiday work is offered by the employer …  Then the employees decide to whether to work or not.

National holidays have special rules for paying domestic employees who choose to work on the Holiday:
~ Double pay   + plus regular pay equals a a net triple payday.

~ If they choose NOT  to work …. they are still paid regular pay for that day.

Makes sense ?

Enjoy the Bank Holiday … Govt. Holiday … and closing of some shops as the people celebrate !

Happy Trails,

It is great to receive this information that all foreigners in Mexico should know. This, like the Aguinaldo information provided last year by is especially valuable in times of disruption like the present.
