End of a long day…
of climbing stairs ….
Watching the pretty girls ….
Noticing details invisible to the oblivious ….
Because they are on the front of the building ~ next to ~ Gaudi’s Casa Battlo
If interested, the rest of the day’s top fotos can be seen at: Barçelona – Casa Battlo de Gaudi

I thought this site was about living in Mexico issues not a travel blog for someones trip to Spain??
Hi Brian,
Sure, it’s about the issues of living in Mexico, and one issue that is possibly politically incorrect is that some of us find a need to travel outside Mexico as an essential part of “Surviving Yucatán”. This site also includes issues that are “propaganda“.
If you notice, the Casa Battlo article is in the “Pesos, Politics, and Propaganda” section, and the Barçelona post you suggest as inappropriate – like some a personal travel blog – is in the “Politics” and “Propaganda” subsections.
As the Post and Main Article are both presented under the Politics and Propaganda sections, then we should expect to find opinions and other personal pecadillos.
It has also been flippin’ hot in Yucatán, getting hotter by the week (remember “Surviving Yucatán” is the title of this website).
Final points of huge importance in understanding “Living in Mexico” and understanding Mexicanos is that Mexicanos generally only get to take vacations during Semana Santa and in August. (La Navidad es para familia.)
This means a key part of learning about how to live in Mexico, is how to live like un Mexicano verdadero ~ which means learning how to viajar bien (travel well) during Semana Santa ~ .
Spending lots of time with family during Semana Santa is also an essential element of “Living in Mexico” and understanding Mexicans – so, if you read the next post, you will find fotos of really good times with mi cuñado (Rolando) y mi concuña (Leti), who we met here – but as true Mexicans, we did not plan this….
Great minds simply thought alike: Barçelona is beautiful and pleasant in April – while Paris y Londres are grey & cold, and Roma y Jerusalen are overflowing with peregrinos.
Does that help you to better understand how to: “Survive Yucatán” and how to “Live in Mexico” ?
~ Viajar a Barçelona ~ during Semana Santa …
